Holidays & Tours to
Maldives

How do you describe Paradise? If the Maldives doesn’t fit then the word needs to be redefined. Pristine beaches, calm waters, mystifying sunsets, the only noise being the swaying palms and the gentle waves lapping the soft sand. The Maldives ticks all of those boxes.

As a nation, the Maldives consists of 1192 islands in 26 Atolls. About 100 or so have been developed into island resorts, inviting guests since 1972.

Leave stress at home, go elsewhere for thrilling nightlife. Here life slows down. Any visitor to the Maldives needs to be prepared for peace and tranquility.

You’ll just have to make one decision.. and that is which island resort to visit. There is some diversity in the resorts. Some are larger with more going on so if you want to have a hotel brimming with facilities you might want one of the larger resorts. If you really are looking for a ‘Robinson Crusoe’ holiday then you’ll be better off in one of the small resorts with just a few rooms. You can visit the Maldives on a budget, you can head for an All Inclusive resort, or you can do it in style with some resorts reaching a height of luxury unsurpassed anywhere.

The Maldives can also be combined perfectly with other destinations such as Dubai and Sri Lanka.

Here at Millington Travel, we have much staff who have experienced The Maldives, so you know where to come for the best independent advice and prices.

Top 10 things to do in the Maldives

With so much relaxation on offer, our list of things to do is a little brief.

  1. Relax on a hammock with a good book.
  2. Snorkel in the lagoon
  3. Have a tennis lesson (larger resorts only)
  4. Take in the amazing sunsets
  5. Go fishing
  6. Relax on the beach
  7. Walk around the whole island
  8. Relax on the deck of your over-water bungalow
  9. Try Scuba-Diving
  10. Relax in the pool

When to go?

The best time to visit is undoubtedly our Winter and Spring favourite from December to May. This is when the weather is driest. From June onwards you’ll see rain but it’s by no means a bad time to visit. You’ll just get a sharp heavy shower in the late afternoon and the following morning will be fine again.
