When to go?
Costa Rica experiences heavy rain on the Caribbean coast from May through to November with the highest rainfall being June to August. Although the Pacific Coast also experiences a wet season during this time, it has far less rain. The best time of year to visit is December through to April where the whole country benefits from the warm dry weather. Temperatures in the low lying and coastal areas range from 21-32 degrees C.
