Did you know that Antigua has 365 beaches? One for every day of the year! Admiral Nelson chose Antigua as the base for Great Britain’s Caribbean Fleet and it is easy to see why as the island boasts a varied coastline with many sheltered bays, a protective coral reef, and steady trade winds. Today, the shimmering warm seas, the wonderful sandy beaches, bright sunshine and a laid-back attitude make an Antigua Holiday the preferred choice for thousands of visitors to the Caribbean each year.
The best time of year to travel is November to April with long sunny hot days and fantastic temperatures at night, you can experience slight rainfall that dries up quickly leaving you to bask in the sunshine. From May to October the rainfall increases during the Caribbean’s wet season but this is often short sharp afternoon thundery showers which clear up quickly.
